The Atlanta Hawks have signed swingman Daniel Hamilton and forward Alex Poythress, the team announced in a press release. Poythress is on a two-way contract.
Hamilton is 6-foot-7 and spent last season on a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was selected in the second round with the No. 56 pick overall in 2016. Hamilton played his college ball at Connecticut. He also spent time with the Oklahoma City Blue of the G-League.
His older brother, Jordan Hamilton, has also spent time in the NBA and is now playing in Turkey.
Poythress is 6-foot-9 and finished last season with the Indiana Pacers, appearing in 25 games. He has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers, as well as the G-League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Poythress went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2016.
