Spurs express trade interest in Clippers’ Bradley

Clippers guard Avery Bradley could be on the move yet again.

The San Antonio Spurs have expressed an interest in trading for Los Angeles Clippers guard Avery Bradley, according to a report from the New York Times.

Bradley was acquired by the Clippers last week in a trade package that sent Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons.’

Bradley has been drawing interest from several teams along with the Spurs, including the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to reports. He will be an unrestricted free agent at season’s end.

The Clippers, who are also holding discussions focused on center DeAndre Jordan, are seeking a first-round pick in exchange for Bradley, the Times reported.

As for the Thunder, Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports wrote:

“The need for a wing defender increased in the wake of AndreRoberson’s season-ending knee injury, and OKC has indeed done due diligence on Avery Bradley, Jonathan Simmons and any other wing defender it believes could be on the market.”

The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. EST.

  1. Cavs need to do something. We may have won last night, but just barely by the skin of our teeth. We clearly dont need Thomas. We play so much better without him. Even Cedi did a better job playing PG. We need a defensive PG. Trade Thomas and our own first round pick for Avery Bradley. Then in a separate deal, try to get Favors.

    • I still think the ideal trade is to somehow get Bradley and Jordan, even though Bradley can only be dealt separately. Thomas, Thompson & filler plus the Brooklyn pick should get you both Jordan & Bradley. I think Favors is a good backup plan for Jordan though. Cavs need defense, because they can;t possibly score 140 points every night just to barely win games.
