Griffin has said in the past that Phoenix is one of his favorite NBA cities.
As the Los Angeles Times reports, the Suns are planning to offer Griffin a four-year, $130 million max contract. If Griffin re-signs with the Clippers, he could get a five-year deal worth around $175 million.
Griffin is also expected to be pursued by the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. Reports have already come out stating that Griffin has serious interest in playing for Boston.
With Chris Paul now gone from the Clippers, members of LA’s brass are confident that Griffin will re-sign and be the new face of the franchise.
According to 98.7 Arizona Sports, the Suns will also meet with Atlanta Hawks free agent Paul Millsap on Saturday.
