Andrew Bogut is reportedly considering the Cavaliers after being waived by Philadelphia on Monday, but Cleveland isn’t the only team in the mix.
At least, not if you believe the reports that say Houston, San Antonio and Boston also have a chance to sign the veteran center.
As for the Celtics specifically, this comes from the Boston Globe:
Center Andrew Bogut, who was waived by the 76ers on Monday, has narrowed his list of potential suitors to five or six teams and the list includes the Celtics, a league source said on Monday night.
The source told the Globe that reports stating Bogut has decided to sign with the Cavaliers after he clears waivers on Wednesday are inaccurate, and that the Celtics are very much in contention.
The article went on to say that Bogut plans to speak with several Celtics players Tuesday before reaching a decision on where he’ll play next.
Now, this may little more than wishful thinking from the Celtics and team basketball man Danny Ainge, but it’s worth keeping in mind as the big man contemplates his next move.
