Celtics cut White, Dixon, two others

Former Syracuse guard Andrew White played for the Cavaliers in summer league.

The Boston Celtics have waived Andrew White, Daniel Dixon, Jonathan Holmes and L.J. Peak, the team announced Thursday.

White went undrafted out of Syracuse. He led the Orange in scoring at 17.4 points per game last season and played for the Cleveland Cavaliers during summer league.

White is 6-foot-7 and came to Syracuse as a graduate transfer from Nebraska. He played at Kansas before that.

Dixon went undrafted out of William & Mary and his signing was initially reported by CelticsBlog back in August.

He is 6-5 and averaged 19.2 points and 4.7 rebounds last season with the Tribe.
