The beat-up Boston Celtics have lost key reserve Daniel Theis for the remainder of the season, according to a report by Shams Charania of Yahoo.
Sources: Celtics center Daniel Theis has suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and will undergo season-ending surgery. Theis emerged as an important reserve for Boston this season.

Theis suffered the injury during Boston’s 99-97 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday at TD Garden.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound rookie big man has played in 63 games( 3 starts) for the Celtics this season, averaging 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game., shooting 54.1 percent from the field.
