Payne’s deal with Raptors official, partially guaranteed

Raptors guard Cameron Payne spent part of last season with the Cavaliers.

Free agent guard Cameron Payne has officially signed with the Toronto Raptors, according to JD Shaw of HoopsRumors.

Payne, 24, reportedly received a two-year contract that includes a partial guarantee.

He appeared in 31 games with the Chicago Bulls last season and nine more with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a pair of 10-day contracts. With the Cavs, he averaged 8.2 points and 2.6 assists.

Payne was the No. 14 overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2015 draft. He averaged a career highs of 8.8 points and 4.5 assists in the 2017-18 season with the Bulls.
