The Chicago Bulls have agreed to a one-year contract with undrafted forward Kaiser Gates, according to a report from Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic.
The 6-foot-8 Gates declared for the draft following his junior season at Xavier. A league source told AmicoHoops that Gates was among a dozen or so players who worked out for the Atlanta Hawks last week.
The Bulls have agreed to a training camp deal with former Xavier forward Kaiser Gates, The Athletic has learned. Gates played on the Bulls’ summer league roster after forgoing the final year of his collegiate eligibility. He shot 37.8% from 3 on 4.2 attempts per game last year.

He started 18 games last season and averaged 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds, as the Muskateers garnered the first No. 1 NCAA tournament seed in school history. Gates was the lone junior on a starting five of otherwise all seniors.
Gates played for the Chicago Bulls in the Las Vegas summer league and participated in the Pro Basketball Combine in Orlando.
