The Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs have been involved in trade talks centered on shooting guard Danny Green, multiple league sources have told Amico Hoops.
Green, 30, averaged 7.3 points in 68 games with the Spurs last season. ESPN reported that the Spurs’ asking price for Green is high.
Green is 6-foot-6 and an experienced big-game player. He is considered one of the league’s premier wing defenders.
He was initially drafted by the Cavs in 2009 in the second round (No. 46 pick overall).
Both teams have been in multiple discussions throughout the day. The Cavs are said to have no less than eight possible deals in the works. The Spurs are also talking about trades centered on power forward LaMarcus Aldridge and for Indiana Pacers star Paul George.
