Mavericks sign Hopson to 10-day contract

Scotty Hopson has appeared in two career NBA games with the Cavaliers.

Free agent swingman Scotty Hopson has agreed to a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks, according to a report from ESPN.

Hopson, 28, previously only played in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2013-14 season, appearing in two games. He then was traded four times between July and September before the next season started.

Hopson went from the Cavs to the Charlotte Hornets to the New Orleans Pelicans to the Houston Rockets to the Sacramento Kings.  The Kings waived him and Hopson hasn’t returned to the league since.

Along with his stint in the NBA, Hopson has played professionally in Greece, China, Spain, Israel and most recently, Turkey.
