The Indiana Pacers have decided to waive veteran swingman Damien Wilkins, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Wilkins, 37, was playing on a non-guaranteed contract and the Pacers needed to either waive him or guarantee the remainder of his contract on Sunday.
He averaged 1.7 points in 19 games after signing with the Pacers in the offseason. Prior to that, Wilkins had been out of the league for four years.
The well-traveled Wilkins has also spent time with the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers.
