The New Orleans Pelicans have traded forward Dante Cunningham to the Brooklyn Nets for shooting guard Rashad Vaughn, the teams announced Thursday.
Cunningham, 30, is on an expiring contract. He had requested a trade from the Pelicans and according NBA.com, does not intend to pursue a buyout from the Nets.
Cunningham averaged 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 24 games with New Orleans.
Vaughn, 21, played one game for the Nets after a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks (for Tyler Zeller) earlier in the week.
