The Portland Trail Blazers are signing free agent center Georgios Papagiannis to a 10-day contract, according to a report from ESPN.
Papagiannis was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 13 overall draft pick in 2016, then immediately traded to the Sacramento Kings. He appeared in just 38 games over his first two seasons, and the Kings waived him at the Feb. 8 trade deadline.
Papagiannis is 7-foot-1 and 240 pounds, and holds the distinction of being the NBA’s highest-drafted native of Greece.
