Weber signs two-way deal with Rockets

Well-traveled guard Briante Weber is headed to the Grizzlies.

The Houston Rockets have signed guard Briante Weber to a 10-way contract, according to a report from ESPN.

Weber is 6-foot-2 and averaged 3.1 points and 1.3 rebound in a combined 20 games last season with the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets.

He also played one game for the Miami Heat and six for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2015-16. Weber, 24, was not selected out of Virginia Commonwealth in the 2015 draft.

Weber has gained a reputation as a defensive specialist. He is eligible to play 45 games with the Rockets and will spend most of his time with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the G League.
