The Rockets could be looking for help at point guard after learning Chris Paul could miss up to a month with a knee bruise, according to multiple reports.
With a 15th roster spot available, the Rockets could merely sign a free agent and not have to make a roster move.
Deron Williams, Jameer Nelson, Ronnie Price, Beno Udrih, C.J. Watson and Toney Douglas are just some of the available free agent points guards with extensive NBA experience.
The Rockets could potentially look to bring in a younger player to develop with their G League affiliate once Paul returns. The NBA G League draft is Saturday.
Paul, 32, was acquired in an offseason trade with the Clippers. He played 33 minutes in the Rockets’ opening win over the Warriors, scoring four points and passing for 11 assists.
