Free agent guard Isaiah Canaan has agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Houston Rockets, according to a report from Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.
The Rockets have been looking for help at the position since discovering Chris Paul will need at least another week, likely more, as he recovers from a knee injury.
Canaan, 26, is 6-foot-0 and appeared in 39 games with the Chicago Bulls last season, averaging 4.6 points. His best year came in 2015-16, when he averaged 11.0 points in 76 games for the Philadelphia 76ers.
He was in training camp with the Oklahoma City Thunder but released before the regular season.
Chris Haynes of ESPN first reported the Canaan signing.
