The Houston Rockets have signed guard Markel Brown to a two-way contract and released Briante Weber, the team announced in a press release.
Brown has been playing for the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League, after getting waived by the Thunder in training camp. He was waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers in training camp in 2016.
He played for the Brooklyn Nets for two seasons, but not since 2015-16. Brown is averaging 17.4 points in 22 games with the Blue.
Weber averaged 2.0 points in 13 games with the Rockets.
