The Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs would have interest in signing Jamal Crawford if the situation works itself out and Crawford enters free agency, according to multiple reports.
Crawford is currently a member of the Los Angeles Clippers — but could is expected to be a part of a three-team trade that would send Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari to the Clippers, free agent forward Paul Millsap from the Atlanta Hawks to the Nuggets, and Crawford and Clippers center Diamond Stone to the Hawks.
According to some reports, Crawford would seek a buyout from Hawks.
However, league sources told AmicoHoops the Hawks initially would intend to keep Crawford, who remains one the league’s top scoring guards, particularly off the bench. The league could also investigate a situation where Crawford is traded to the Hawks, run by new general manager Travis Schlenk, and then bought out to sign the Warriors, Schlenk’s old team.
On top of all that, a report from ESPN stated Crawford may be willing to remain in Atlanta should the three-team trade go through.
Crawford, 37, averaged 12.3 points in all 82 games with the Clippers last season.
