Free agent power forward Jared Sullinger has signed with the Shenzhen Leopards of China, according to a report from international journalist David Pick.
Sullinger’s deal is for two months and $300,000, Pick reported.
A former first-round pick of the Boston Celtics, Sullinger spent part of last with the Toronto Raptors season before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in February. The Suns promptly waived him.
He reportedly had drawn interest from the Brooklyn Nets, who eventually decided to go with former Celtics center Tyler Zeller instead.
Sullinger, 25, has battled weight and injury issues for most of his NBA career.
“I lost a year of basketball directly because of what I have done — my weight and my eating habits,” he told the Columbus Dispatch in July.
