The Detroit Pistons will interview former NBA big man and current Miami Heat assistant Juwan Howard for their coaching opening, according to ESPN.
He is expected to interview within the next few days.
Howard, 45, played in the NBA from 1994-2013 and was a member of Michigan’s Fab Five team that also featured Chris Webber and Jalen Rose. He has been an assistant under Erik Spoelstra with the Heat since the 2013-14 season.
Howard has become the third person strongly linked to the Pistons’ coaching search, along with former Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey and current TNT analyst Kenny Smith.
