Swingman McDaniels released by Raptors

K.J. McDaniels most recently played a regular-season game with the Nets.

The Toronto Raptors have waived well-traveled swingman K.J. McDaniels, the team announced Sunday.

McDaniels appeared in three preseason games, totaling six points and five rebounds. He was inactive for the first two games of the regular season. Toronto’s roster now stands at 16 players.

The Raptors signed McDaniels in free agency in August.

He has spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets, compiling a career average of 5.3 points per game.
