Cavs’ James calls Warriors rumors ‘nonsense’

LeBron James will most likely not be a Laker if he opts out of his deal as expected this summer, according to a report.

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James addressed the Golden State Warriors rumors Friday after practice and vehemently denied the story, calling the report “nonsense.”

“First thing I did, I started laughing, actually. Then I thought about it I think it’s doing…it’s nonsense…The Golden State conversation is a non-story, all the other conversations is a non-story,” James said after practice Friday at Cleveland Clinic Courts in Independence. “I think it’s a discredit to what I’m trying to do here. It’s a discredit to my teammates and the coaching staff here.

“My focus right now is on this team and trying to figure out how we can become a championship-caliber team in these next few months.”

On Thursday, ESPN published a story claiming that James would consider signing with the Warriors if they were able to free up enough cap space to sign the four-time MVP.

James, however, quickly shot down the story and said to only trust information that comes straight from his mouth regarding free agency.

  1. LeBron looks woken up. I like the apology to his teammates for having to hear that. The guy pisses me off one day, impresses me the next. What a rollercoater is this Mr James.
