LeBron makes return to Cavs practice

LeBron James has returned to Cavaliers practice after turning his ankle.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James returned to the court and went through a full practice Thursday, reported Jason Lloyd of The Athletic.

James has been out for a week after turning his ankle at practice a week ago Wednesday. He missed the Cavs’ first preseason game and his status for Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers is to be determined (per Lloyd). Tipoff for Friday’s game is 7:30 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

James barely was able to practice with close friend and new Cavs guard Dwyane Wade — as James turned the ankle during Wade’s first practice. Those within the organization have said Wade’s presence has brought a very obvious renewed passion to James.

Meanwhile, the Cavs announced Thursday that shooting guard Iman Shumpert will miss 7-10 days with a sprained ankle. Shumpert played just two minutes in the preseason opener against the Hawks before suffering the injury.
