The Los Angeles Clippers have signed free agent shooting guard C.J. Williams to a training camp contract, according to a report from 2 Ways & 10 Days.
Williams’ contract is likely a two-way deal, meaning the majority of his playing time is likely to come with the Clippers’ G-League affiliate in Ontario, Calif.
Williams is 6-foot-5 and just finished playing under coach Jeff Van Gundy with a Team USA squad that won the gold medal at FIBA AmeriCup tournament.
He signed a training camp deal with the Dallas Mavericks last year, averaging 12.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 50 games with the G-League’s Texas Legends.
Williams, 27, played his college ball at N.C. State. He went undrafted and spent some time overseas, as well as with the Los Angeles D-Fenders (2013-14) of the G-League.
