Reports: Rockets try to tangle with Clippers after loss

Blake Griffin and the Clippers bested former teammate Chris Paul and the Rockets.

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the visiting Houston Rockets 113-105 on Monday, but that apparently wasn’t the only beating either team wanted to put on the other.

According to multiple and ongoing reports, the two teams exchanged not-so-pleasantries after the game, much of which appeared to stem from Rockets star Chris Paul’s return to face his former team.

Paul and Clippers forward Blake Griffin even had to be separated after battling in the post and exchanging words. Griffin, along with Rockets forward Trevor Ariza, were eventually ejected.

While no one would go on record, Clippers coach Doc Rivers did drop a mighty big hint about what went down.

“Let’s put it like this: Our team was in our locker room. That’s all I’ll say. I’ll let you do the rest of the investigation,” Rivers told reporters. “I will say their entire team was not in their locker room.”

For the rest of the story, well, we will let the investigation Rivers recommended take it from here:
