The Los Angeles Lakers have waived forward V.J. Beachem and center Stephen Zimmerman, the team announced on its website.
Beachem scored two points with one assist in four minutes this preseason. Zimmerman compiled two points, one rebound and one assist.
Beachem is 6-foot-8 and went undrafted out of Notre Dame in June. He was a member of the the Minnesota Timberwolves’ summer team.
Zimmerman is 7-foot and was selected by the Orlando Magic in the second round (41st overall) of the 2016 draft. A former McDonald’s High School All-American, Zimmerman played one season at UNLV and spent most of his rookie year in the G League.
The Lakers’ roster now stands at 18.
