Former ESPN NBA insider Marc Stein will now cover pro basketball for the New York Times, he announced on his twitter account.
“Proud and hugely humbled to share that, just in time for my 25th season covering the greatest league in the world, I’m joining the New York Times,” Stein wrote.
Stein covered the NBA for ESPN from 2000-17 before being laid off in June. His departure coincided with arrival of current star NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.
“PS — I missed y’all, Twitter. Especially YOU, NBA Twitter,” Stein wrote.
