Free-agent guard Markel Brown has agreed to a one-year contract with Turkish club Darussafaka, according to a report from Michael Scotto of The Athletic.
Brown appeared in four games with the Houston Rockets last season, and played 109 for the Brooklyn Nets from 20014-16. He also attended training camp with several other teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Brown is 6-foot-3 and was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2014 draft. He carries NBA career averages of 5.2 points and 2.1 rebounds.
As Scotto noted, he will join former NBA forward Cory Jefferson with Darussafaka.
