The Memphis Grizzlies will exercise the fourth-year option on forward Jarell Martin, according to a report from Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.
Martin is averaging 7.7 points and 4,.6 rebounds this season, doubling his scoring average from last year.
He is 6-foot-10 and was selected with the No. 25 overall draft pick in 2015. He spent portions of his first two NBA seasons in the G League.
“Now, the 23-year-old forward hopes to fulfill some of the promise he showed at LSU where he averaged 16.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore,” Scotto wrote.
