Free agent small forward Derrick Jones Jr. has agreed to a two-way contract with the Miami Heat, the team announced Sunday.
Jones spent 32 games with the Phoenix Suns last season, and six this year, before being waived. The former UNLV standout has compiled career averages of 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds.
The Heat will waive Matt Williams to clear a roster spot for Jones, per the team. Williams averaged 1.7 points in three games this season.
