The Miami Heat have signed free agent forward Erik McCree, the team announced Monday on its website.
McCree is 6-foot-8 and went undrafted after three seasons at Louisiana Tech. He averaged 17.7 points and 8.9 rebounds last season.
Also, per the Heat, McCree became just the sixth player in school history to record at least 1,400 points and 700 rebounds in just three seasons.
“McCree was signed with designs on being an ‘affiliate’ player for Heat’s G-League team,” the South Florida Sun-Sentinel wrote. “That means a nominal guarantee, if any at all.”
The Heat roster now stands at 19, with one more signing likely coming before camp next week.
Former Michigan point guard Derrick Walton Jr. has also been signed to a two-way contract by the Heat.
