Heat extend qualifying offer to Jones Jr.

The Miami extended a qualifying offer to Derrick Jones Jr., according to a report.

The Miami Heat have extended a qualifying offer to small forward Derrick Jones Jr., according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Jones Jr. went undrafted out of UNLV in 2016. He appeared in 20 games for the Heat as a two-way player last season, compiling averages of 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds.

Jones Jr. appeared in 32 games for the Phoenix Suns as a rookie.
