The Miami Heat have signed free-agent big man Raphiael Putney, a league source told Amico Hoops on Thursday.
Putney is 6-foot-10 and went undrafted out of Massachusetts in 2014. His contract is most likely an Exhibit 10 deal that will result in Putney playing in the G-League.
Putney, 28, has played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the G-League, and spent part of last season with the Erie Bayhawks. He was a G-League All-Star in 2016.
He has also played professionally in Saudi Arabia and Australia.

The Heat later confirmed the move, announcing they have also signed guard Rodney Purvis, and waived swingman DeAndre Liggins and guard Charles Cooke.
