Bucks’ brass discussing possible Bogut signing

The Milwaukee Bucks’ brass has discussed the pros and cons of signing veteran center Andrew Bogut, according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times.

Bogut was released by the Los Angeles Lakers last week and cleared waivers Monday.

At least two teams not including the Bucks have expressed interest in Bogut, per Woelfel.

Bogut played his first seven seasons in the NBA with Milwaukee after the Bucks made him the No. 1 overall selection in the 2005 draft. The 7-footer has career averages of 9.7 points and 8.7 rebounds.

Bogut, 33, signed with the Lakers during the offseason. He has appeared in 24 games, averaging 1.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in nine minutes. He has also spent time with the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks, as well as one minute with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Several contending teams, such as the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics, are also expected to have an interest in Bogut.
