Source: Bucks working out free agent big man Thabeet

Free agent center Hasheem Thabeet last appeared in the NBA with the Thunder in 2014.

Free agent center Hasheem Thabeet is working out for the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday through Thursday of this week, a source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.

Thabeet, 32, is 7-foot-3 and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 2 overall pick in 2009. He has also spent time with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers, and last played in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013-14.

“Thabeet spent this past year transforming his body and he has heard from multiple NBA teams that he is in great shape,” Stinar reported.

Thabeet carries NBA career averages of 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. He has also played in the G-League (Grand Rapids Drive) and in Japan.

The Bucks currently have Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez and former No. 4 overall pick Dragan Bender at center.
