Free agent forwards Thomas Robinson and Perry Jones III are among those auditioning via workouts for the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to a report from Basketball Insiders.
The Timberwolves are also working out swingman Alan Anderson and sharpshooter Anthony Morrow, and guards Trey Burke, Isaiah Canaan and John Jenkins.
The Jenkins and Morrow workouts were reported by 5 Eyewitness News.
Robinson and Jones entered the league with high expectations, but neither lived up to the hype before eventually fading into free agency.
Robinson was drafted fifth overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2012. He told HoopsHype in July that given the opportunity, he “could easily” be among the NBA’s top 10 rebounders.
Jones was the 28th overall selection of Oklahoma City Thunder in 2012. He last played in the NBA in 2014-15.
Anderson, Morrow, Burke, Canaan and Jenkins have bounced around and proven to be capable reserves.
