Former UCLA guard Lonzo Ball has set his predraft meeting and individual workout with the Los Angeles Lakers for June 7, according to a report from The Vertical.
The Lakers select No. 2 overall in the June 22 draft, and Ball is expected to fall within the top five picks.
Per The Vertical:
The Lakers’ front office worked with Ball’s agent, Harrison Gaines, to finalize the workout details. The Lakers are the only predraft workout scheduled for Ball as of now, but he could add one or two meetings with teams near the top of the draft, league sources said.
Ball is a 6-foot-6 guard who averaged 14.6 points, 7.7 assists and 6.1 rebounds in his lone season at UCLA. He reportedly possesses a 7-foot wingspan.
The Boston Celtics, drafting before the Lakers, are expected to pass on Ball, who has refused a workout with the team.
