The Indiana Pacers have signed forward Alex Poythress for the remainder of the season, the team announced Thursday.
Poythress had been a “two-way” player, splitting his time between the Pacers and Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the G League.
His new contract is guaranteed for $778 thousand this season, according to a report from ESPN.
Poythress is a 6-foot-9 forward and averaging just under one point and one rebound in 11 NBA games this season. He went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2016.
According to ESPN, his contract will become fully guaranteed for $1.54 million in 2018-19 “if he isn’t waived by July 25.”
