The only position I would like to have any more back-up, is Center (/PF).
And none of the free agents, at least on paper, offer anything that is not already offered by Nance, TT, and Zizic. Andrew Bogut might be worth a second look – but ……

    Chris Bosh, may be?

  2. what is the problem with Derrick Williams? Locker room? Guy can jump out of the gym and play.

    • With Lue it is his hustle. Lue seems to have problems playing players who hustle, Williams last year, cedi before the trade, Nance before TT got hurt.

    • Liked Derrick Williams play too, Looked like he was just starting to elevate his game when Lue seemed like he pulled the rug out from under him ….

  3. I believe they can sign only Tony Allen and Andrew Bogut. Bosh anyway is not cleared to play in NBA for now. Tony Allen for limited time he played with Pelicans is still defensively good. His team defensive rating was 103 when on floor and 107 when he was off floor. Andrew Bogut should be tried for second chance. He can make crunch situation plays.

I like the Bogut idea! A little less on Allen, only because my fear is Lue would play him at the expense of Jordan Clarkson or Rodney Hood, to be quite honest.

  4. There are a few interesting “legit” centers on the list. I would like to see us add a legitimate 7’0″ footer on the bench for situations like last night with Jokic. We may have to face Embid & Drummond in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

  5. Willie Reed.

  7. Why wouldn’t we sign 1 or 2 of terance jones, seraphin, pekovic or hibbert?

  8. Tony donato | March 8, 2018 at 2:56 pm |

I’d sign the broad street bully Terrence Jones, and Ty Lawson and broom Calderon or Perrantes if need be

Derrick Williams and one of Andrew Bogut/ Festus Ezeli. Gives us an athletic wing and an extra big man for playing teams like DET or even TOR with Valanconious (I realize I misspelled that terribly ha)

  10. I’d like to toss a feeler over to Jared Sullinger (this is not a Buckeye thing).
Jared is currently averaging 30pts 16rebs 1.3blks & 36% 3pt in China. He looks much slimmer.
Sullinger had a decent run with the Celtics until he got hurt and overweight.
Have him as a PF/C with the second unit. He’s not the offensive liability TT is (would need to guard him along the perimeter) can rebound about the same as TT while still fairly young (possibly hungry to re-start is NBA career). Could see him as a pick-n-pop and big body with experience.
A 2nd unit combinations of Clarkston / Cedi / Hood / Korver / Green / Sullinger depending matchups (not that we can trust Lue to exploit matchups) with TT as possibility as well.
I have to admit, have been impressed with Zizic’s play the last couple of games.

  11. Festus but is he healthy?

  12. I’d give t. Jones a spot.. Bosh If He’s cleared definitely give him a look. Bron should know if he’s ready.

  13. I’d go with 2 big men. Terrence Jones would be a nice addition. We also need size, so either Pekovic, Bogut or Ezeli. Personally, i think Love and Nance are the only 2 solid big men we have on our roster at the moment. You can’t count on Thompson to show up at all, Zizic is just a kid and Green has had back issues lately, probably due to playing out of position, same as the rest of our undersized bigs. I think we need some legit size and insurance in the big man department.

  14. If you need a big time scorer to take the load off of the leading scorers every once in a while, I’d sign Monta Ellis! The dude can ball!

What kind of year did Spencer Hawes have?
    He’s a 7 footer who can make 3

  16. All these guys are bums, a few might get a deal with Canton, definitely not with our playoff bound Cavs. We got rid of old players…our squad have younger players with a bench, let them gel once they are all healthy and bring that ring home
