Sacramento Kings rookie big man Harry Giles has been shut down for the remainder of the season while rehabbing his injured knee, the team announced Thursday.
Giles is 6-foot-11 and was selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2017 draft.
Recent evaluation reveals Giles is entirely healthy, having experienced no setbacks during a focused regimen that has included participation in team practices, skill and strength training.
Giles has suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee and underwent arthroscopy surgery last year at Duke. The 19-year-old partially tore his right ACL in 2015 as well.
The Kings expect Giles to be ready for summer play in July.
