Cavs’ Love suffers ankle injury vs. Celtics

Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love suffered a right ankle injury in Wednesday’s 102-88 loss against the Boston Celtics and was forced to exit the game.

Love initially tried to play through the ailment but went back to the locker room for good in the fourth quarter. He finished with just two points on 1-of-11 shooting in 21 minutes.

The Cavs’ next game is Saturday when they take on the Orlando Magic. Love told reporters postgame he should be able to play.

Love is averaging 20.1 points and 10.1 rebounds on the season. The Cavs (25-13) have lost five of seven, including five straight on the road.

Heard from announces, 6 Celtics have scored 20 + , we have none except for Lebron & Love. Today Love & Korver cannot shoot well. Do you believe me now this is a bad team, full of has been players. Celtics have tall, young shooters who can defend and shoot. We are old. We will not reach ECF. Hope I eat my words. I guess we cannot improve our roster. No good shooters available. Imagine they get Rozier. We have trash players.
