Demps, of course, pulled off a blockbuster trade in February, obtaining DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings. It was Demps’ most notable move, and the Pelicans believe a full season of Cousins and Anthony Davis will get them back in the playoffs.

Gentry is 64-100 in two seasons as head coach of the Pelicans.
