The New Orleans Pelicans have waived small forward Jalen Jones, according to a report from RealGM.
Jones, 24, signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans in August and appeared in four games, averaging 1.3 points.
The former Texas A&M standout spent considerably more time playing in the G League, averaging 19.1 points and 6.9 rebounds with the Texas Legends and Greensboro Swarm. He went undrafted in June.
The Pelicans are said to be in the market for a small forward and looking to make a deal to acquire one before the Feb. 8 trade deadline.
