Free-agent big man Noah Vonleh has reached agreement on a contract with the New York Knicks, according to a report fromIan Begley of ESPN.
Vonleh, 22, is a 6-foot-9 power forward. He averaged 4.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 54 games combined with the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers last season.
He was drafted No. 9 overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 2014. He averaged 11.5 points and 8.1 rebounds as a rookie, though his numbers have steadily decreased since then.
Still, Vonleh gives the Knicks needed depth in the frontcourt as they await the return of standout forward Kristaps Porzingis from a torn ACL.
