Former Michigan State and NBA G-League standout Kalin Lucas was one of two players signed by the Orlando Magic on Thursday, the team announced.
Lucas is a 6-foot-1 point guard and averaged 8.0 points, 5.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds over 48 games last season with the Iowa Energy and Erie BayHawks last season.
The Magic also signed free agent guard Troy Caupain (6-4), formerly of Cincinnati. Caupain went undrafted after becoming the Bearcast’ all-time leader in assists with 515.
Per HoopsRumors: “The Magic now have 18 players officially under contract, with an agreement also reportedly in place with undrafted rookie Rodney Purvis — when Purvis’ deal becomes official, Orlando would have just one open spot left on the team’s 20-man offseason roster.”
