Former NBA head coach Randy Wittman is set to join the Orlando Magic as a coaching consultant, according to a report from ESPN.
Wittman will report to Frank Vogel, who’s entering his second season with the Magic.
Wittman, 57, has been head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers (1999-2001), Minnesota Timberwolves (2206-09) and Washington Wizards (2011-16). He has compiled a career coaching record of 278-406.
A product of Indiana, Wittman spent 10 seasons as a shooting guard in the NBA before retiring in 1992.
Also per ESPN, “With assistant David Adelman accepting a bigger role in Denver, Magic are promoting Jay Hernandez and Matt Hill on Vogel’s staff.”
