The Orlando Magic have signed rookie free agent shooting guard Rodney Purvis, the team announced in a press release.
He will play for the Magic’s G-League affiliate in Lakeland, Fla.
Purvis is 6-foot-4 and went undrafted after averaging 13.8 points and 4.2 rebounds with Connecticut last season. He will wear No. 15 for the Magic.
As Hoops Rumors noted, Purvis’ contract includes an Exhibit 10 clause — which gives Purvis a bonus if he’s waived and then signs with Lakeland.
Purvis’ adopted brother, Tyrek Coger, died following a workout at Oklahoma State in the summer of 2016.
