The Phoenix Suns have signed point guard Isaiah Canaan to a minimum contract for the rest of the season, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Canaan is averaging 13.0 points and 5.0 assists in four games with the Suns after joining the tea as a hardship exception.
Canaan, 26, has also spent time with the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers.
In related news, the Suns released rookie guard Mike James on Friday.
What we don't know yet is whether this means the Suns plan on keeping all 3 centers and whether the move now means Booker's return has been accelerated. Trying to find those things out tonight
