Pistons’ Jackson out at least 6-8 weeks

Reggie Jackson will be reevaluated following the All-Star break.

Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson will miss at least six-to-eight weeks with a right ankle sprain, the team announced in a press release.

Jackson suffered the injury in Tuesday’s win over the Indiana Pacers. Results of an MRI confirmed a Grade 3 ankle sprain, the team said.

Jackson, 27, is averaging 14.6 points and 5.5 assists in 33 games.

Ish Smith will likely replace Jackson as the starting point guard.
