Report: Westbrook agrees to extension with OKC

Russell Westbrook and the Thunder scooted past the Bulls.

Reigning MVP Russell Westbrook has agreed to a five-year, $205 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a report by ESPN.

Westbrook now possesses the richest contract in NBA history.

Last season, Westbrook became the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for an entire year by producing a staggering stat line of 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists.

Expectations are high for the Thunder in 2017-18 with the arrival of stars Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.
